People can’t live without water. But not everyone in the world has access to water that’s clean and safe to drink. In certain areas of Africa, people must travel long distances to find water. The trip can be dangerous. The dirty water they find carries disease back to their communities.

Gamers around the globe are involved in finding solutions to this crisis. Games 4 Sustainability is a project that offers all kinds of games to teach people and spread the word. The River Basin Game, for example, has people role-play as farmers. They learn about how to best water their crops. They work with others to share water.
